2019 season has started with a Bang!

My goodness, I cannot believe it is already March. We ended 2018 as our busiest season to date thanks to our awesome clients always spreading the word about our services. Last November I went to St. Louis to a Face and Body art convention, which normally I do to brush up on brand new designs and techniques to bring back to Cincinnati. This year however I went to pick the brains of some of the most successful artist in our industry, about the business end of what we do. Growing pains are such a good problem to have, but only if you can learn how to grow with them right? Otherwise you just end up juggling too many balls and things start slipping through the cracks and you get worn down and that is the last thing I want to happen.

I received so much good advice that I brought home and pondered over for months now to see what would work for me and my clients and what wouldn't, and I have to say that I am more excited about this year than I have been any other year of being in business. I also got to spend a couple evenings working on some collaboration Body Paints, which is like a special treat I don't get to do a lot of. I will have to write up a whole other Blog just about body paintings.

On top of the St Louis convention, I had the privilege to attend Kapital Kidvention in D.C. again and not only be a student, but I got to instruct for the second time. I actually went to college to teach Art, so teaching art at a convention is like a dream for me. I felt so much more confident this year and I am so proud to announce that I have been asked to teach also for St. Louis this coming November.

One last convention that I have to mention is Fabaic. It is the largest Face Painting convention in the United States and I have never been able to go until now. I am super excited and this will be the one that I get to go and focus almost solely on Art and improving my style and designs to bring back to my clients.

This year has started out better than I could have ever dreamed, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year holds.
